QR & Barcode Scanner (“the app”), published by KirsuLab, respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.

Camera

The app uses your device camera only to read QR codes and barcodes that you point it at. The camera feed is processed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or uploaded to us or anyone else. You can also scan a code from an image you choose; that image is read on-device and is not uploaded.

Codes you scan or create

The content of codes you scan or create is saved only on your device (in your local history) so you can find it again. It is not sent to our servers. You can clear this history at any time inside the app.

Data collected by third-party services

To keep the app free and reliable, we use the following services, which may collect limited data:

• Google AdMob (advertising): may use your device’s Advertising ID and similar identifiers to show and measure ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Where required, the app shows a consent prompt and a “Privacy & ad settings” option in Settings.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google): collects anonymous usage statistics and crash diagnostics to help us fix bugs and improve the app.

All data transmitted by these services is encrypted in transit.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email, photos, files, contacts, messages, precise location, or the contents of the codes you scan.

Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children.

Data deletion

Local history is removed when you clear it or uninstall the app. To request deletion of any diagnostic data associated with your device, email us at the address below.
